More and more people create their own cosmetic products. This has a number of benefits. You always know exactly what is in the ingredient list and can avoid unwanted additives. Additionally you can formulate the recipe individually according to your needs. Many fear that making your own cosmetics requires a lot of time and effort. Beauty Blogger Anja shows that it can be a lot easier than you think. What looks like a chocolate pudding is actually her homemade hair shampoo with lava soil and baobab oil.
- 2/3 tbsp lava clay
- still water
- 1-2 drops Baobab oil
Simply mix the lava clay with a little bit of water. Now add the Baobab oil. Apply and wash out as you would with any other shampoo.
Shampoo that’s left over or not needed right away can easily be stored in a mason jar for later use.
Tip 1: Depending on your hair type you may also use other oils. The version with Baobab oil is particularly suited for broken hair.
Tip 2: If you do not have time to wash your hair in the shower the lava clay powder can also be brushed into the hair roots like a dry shampoo.
Tip 3: The mixture can also be used as a face mask.
